Whitsundays Week 2019 is a sailing party trip at the Great Barrier Reef after the academic year concludes, targeting students across major universities in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

There is no one way to define the trip, yachting, luxury, adventure, partying, love and friendships, every participant will have their own experience. So instead, the visuals aim to capture what it feels like to be there, the atmosphere and emotions and portray them across posters of different sizes, social media posts and cover images.

Depicting a picturesque scene in the world’s natural wonder, with sandbanks creating turquoise shades through the transparent water, glittering ocean ripple, and swimmers floating around a yacht, the illustration captures what it is like to be on the trip. With a thin typeface in white to not obscure the background, event information is presented upfront without obscuring the scene. All to deliver a sense of airiness, liberation from the burden of daily life and much-needed recess from a year of studying.
