THE ENVOY is a luxury yacht trip company that offers its clients exceptional private travelling experiences. Tasked with creating a unique Christmas greeting, the idea was to create a lighthearted maritime-themed salutation befitting to the company.
Evergreen Island is an imaginary archipelago shaped like a Christmas tree, with festive locations like Snow Hill, Ornaments Bay, Gift Beach, and Merry Passage. By studying historic nautical charts, the map is not only illustrated after copperplate prints, but also includes authentic features like depth measurements, sea passages, topological features, and magnetic declination. To achieve the desired effect, typeface appropriate to the period such as Bodoni and IM Fell was chosen, with the latter being the revival of the oldest metal letters surviving in England.
The final deliverables included a playful and tasteful greeting that was used in social media posts and EDM greetings. The design perfectly captured the essence of the brand, creating a memorable and engaging experience for clients.
